Greater Lansing Food Bank (GLFB) is seeking an individual to fill the role of food access network specialist. This position plays a critical role in advancing the Greater Lansing Food Bank’s mission by developing, strengthening, and optimizing a regional food access network. The Specialist works collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to design a coordinated, data-informed Food Access System that meets residents' real needs.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position (36 base hours weekly), located in Bath, MI. Work hours are generally during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with pantry partners and community organizations
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, providing ongoing support, coaching, and guidance
• Develop a deep understanding of each partner’s capacity, service model, and community impact
• Support partners in improving operations, accessibility, and service delivery
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new partners aligned with strategic network needs
• Contribute to network planning efforts to ensure efficient, equitable food distribution
• Utilize data tools, including food access mapping and partner performance metrics, to guide decision-making
• Lead onboarding processes for new pantry partners to ensure alignment with organizational standards
• Provide training and technical assistance to strengthen partner capacity and effectiveness
• Monitor partner compliance with food safety, reporting, and operational standards
• Approach accountability through a supportive, improvement-oriented lens
• Collaborate with internal teams across Food Access Systems
• Participate in Food Access Coordination meetings to align strategies and share insights
• Identify opportunities for collaboration across programs to better serve shared populations
• Identify opportunities to improve food access through network enhancements and pilot initiatives
• Support implementation strategies such as expanded pantry hours, new distribution models, or increased partner capacity
• Gather and incorporate partner and community feedback to inform improvements

QUALIFICATIONS
• 2–4 years of experience in community engagement, nonprofit work, partnership management, or related field
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and ability to analyze information and use data to inform decisions
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience working within food systems, hunger relief, or community-based organizations
• Familiarity with data tools, mapping tools, or CRM systems
• Experience supporting partner networks or multi-site programs
• Understanding of food insecurity and barriers to access in diverse communities
• Ability to travel to partner sites using personal transportation
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally

Compensation and Benefits
This position offers an annual starting salary of $42,000. GLFB provides a comprehensive benefits package, including fully covered individual medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays.
