Your Role in Our Mission

The Community Insights and Analytics Manager is a key leader within Food Bank of the Rockies’ Data and Insights team, overseeing analysts and community insights specialists who support operations across the Denver, Western Slope, and Wyoming distribution centers. This role prioritizes and manages complex data requests, develops team capacity through mentoring and skill-building, and partners closely with IT, data engineers, and department leaders to meet critical organizational information needs. The position leads implementation and use of the Community Service Insights application (Link2Feed) across partner agencies and mobile pantries, strengthening data quality and storytelling around who we serve and where. Working in close collaboration with the Director of Data and Insights and complementary roles on the team, this manager coordinates responses to internal and external stakeholders while advancing a cohesive, organization-wide data strategy.

Job responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Lead Link to Feed Implementation and Use: 40%
•Supervise 2- 3 Community Insights Team members dedicated to the implementation and usage of Link2Feed across two or three distribution centers
•Ensure the safe, dignified, and respectful treatment of neighbor data in Food Bank of the Rockies (FBR) and its Hunger Relief Network through the development and training of policies and procedures to internal team members and external partners.
•Be an expert in Link2Feed to communicate and demonstrate the benefits of client data collection to our partners, internal and external stakeholders to socialize the program, manage expectations, and acquire buy-in.
•Develop and direct strategy for partner uptake and usage of Link2Feed; lead the team across all distribution centers to implement and track results
•Develop, manage, and ensure the safe reporting and analytics of neighbor data from Link2Feed to stakeholders by coordinating with both analysts and service insights team members.
•Oversee training of FBR team members on new Link2Feed features and to ensure accurate communication to partners and volunteers.
•Oversee the creation and publishing of training materials and communication tools.
•Monitor partner utilization for consistency, further ensuring accuracy of numbers served and information is representative of current time periods.

Research Requests and Analytics: 30%
•Serve as the project manager in the tracking and execution of research, data reporting, and program evaluation deliverables (ex. Annual Food Bank of the Rockies Report, regional food poundage reports)
•Collaborate with the departmental Directors and team members to manage and execute projects such as surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other qualitative methods/protocols with a variety of groups including internal team members, Hunger Relief Partners, other community members.
•Write reports and briefs of findings for leadership, department colleagues (ex. Marketing/Communications, Development, Programs, Operations, People and Culture).
•Support data quality assurance efforts

Data Requests Management: 30%
•Supervise data analysts’ understanding of data requests from other departments, identifying the key questions, decisions, or areas of need and helping to develop an appropriate report
•Collaborate with Food Bank of the Rockies (FBR) team members to develop deliverables to data requests from internal sources with ad-hoc reporting to meet “just-in-time” organizational needs
•Support the maintenance and documentation of data requests methods to ensure consistency across reporting
•Partner with Data & Insights, Development, and Marketing/Communication Team members to create data elements and reports for grant writing efforts

•Collaborates: Partners across departments, distribution centers, and with Hunger Relief Partners to facilitate data operations. Working cross-functionally with other departments to manage expectations and data ops for data requests.
•Customer-Centric Focus: Keeps the community at the heart of analytics by helping Food Bank of the Rockies to better understand who the food bank serves and where. They maintain a service-oriented mindset to ensure that data collection methods respect and elevate the neighbor experience.
•Ensures Accountability: Takes ownership of project managing data requests and key reporting deliverables to meet organizational needs. They build team capacity by supervising data analysts and community insights staff, ensuring data quality, consistency, and alignment with organizational timelines.

•Knowledge of query writing using SQL with the ability to join multiple tables, summarizing, grouping, data manipulation, performing analytical functions, etc.,
•Familiarity with visualization languages and analytical tools (PowerBI, Tableau, R, etc.)
•Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree a plus, or equivalent work-related experience
•3 – 5 years of experience in analytics, data, or research related fields
•Proven experience in program evaluation, research, and/or social science research methodology
•1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred
•Previous experience working in non-profits preferred
•Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

Expected Hours of Work:

This is an exempt, full-time position working approximately 40 hours per week. The typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.– 5:00 p.m., with a hybrid work schedule of three (3) days in-office (or more frequently based on organizational needs) and two (2) days remote.
