Feeding America Names Matt Knott President

Feeding America, the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief organization, has named Matt Knott President of the charity.

In this newly-created position, Matt will lead the efforts of the national office to support member food bank needs and shape national office priorities to meet those needs. Matt's areas of responsibility will include the food and supply chain team; network development; compliance and capability; and information technology.

During his five years with Feeding America, Matt has earned trust and confidence at all levels of our organization and across our network. Through his actions, Matt reflects the values we embrace, and he is truly committed to helping our member food banks succeed in support of our common mission.

Since joining Feeding America in 2008, Matt has made significant contributions to member engagement, planning, strategy formation, network efficiency, and nutrition. Prior to joining Feeding America, Matt served as Vice President for Gatorade at PepsiCo and previously as Product Group Director and in Brand Management positions in the Tropicana and Quaker business units.

His background in consumer packaged goods continues to benefit Feeding America as we work with food donors to increase the acquisition of nutritious food in our network.

Matt joined Feeding America in June 2008 as Vice President of Planning. He was promoted to Senior Vice President of Planning and Analysis in February 2010 and named Chief Operating Officer in May 2011.

He earned his undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Notre Dame and holds a master's degree in management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
