The Development Coordinator is responsible for attracting donors, strengthen existing relationships, and increase giving levels. As an integral part of the fundraising team, the Development Coordinator will identify, cultivate, solicit, steward, and expand the relationships between the organization and its donors with a particular focus on monthly donors and annual donors between $500-$5,000.
-Identify and steward annual giving donors and prospects including individuals, corporations, and/or foundations, through phone calls, visits and other forms of direct personal contact.
-Manage a portfolio of 150 - 200 annual giving donors and achieves performance targets on calls, proposals, solicitations, and stewardship moves.
-Engage annual giving donors along the pipeline through events, virtual food drives, and fundraising events, including third-party and signature fundraising events: Epic Chef & Fork Fight.
-Manage stewardship process including reporting, assignments and stewardship calls for donors between $500 - $5,000.
-Manage and expand FTB’s monthly givers program: ForkLifters.
-Research individual donors and prospects in order to develop strategies for gift growth and acquisition – including post-event follow-up and conversion.
-Research, writes, edits, and/or oversees the preparation of persuasive, accurate, and grammatically and syntactically correct solicitations, proposals, case statements, reports, correspondence, and other development-related communication materials in support of the unit's fundraising activities.
-Maintain integrity of donor database (Salesforce) as it relates to donor file.
-Represent FTB in the community and to other local, statewide, and national organizations as directed.
-Foster a culture of philanthropy and lead staff and volunteers to institutionalize philanthropy within FTB.
-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
-Bachelors/4-year college degree and 1-3 years of related sales and or fundraising experience.
-Ability to manage projects with attention to detail and accuracy.
-Cheerful, outgoing personality and great telephone “presence”.
-Proficiency in creating and editing documents using Word and Excel and utilizing Outlook for electronic mail communications.
-Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
-May require working some weekends and/or adjust work schedule.
-Committed to the organizational mission of ending hunger.
