Feeding America Statement On House Passage of the 2018 Farm Bill

Attributed to Matt Knott, President of Feeding America

June 21, 2018

“Today’s passage of the 2018 House Farm Bill, by a vote of 213-211 is extremely disappointing. The bill includes significant cuts to eligibility for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Americans facing hunger across the United States depend on this program to put meals on their tables, as they work to build a better life. Enactment of this legislation would be a step backward in our efforts to create a healthier, hunger-free America.”
