“We live in an America where there is so much division and doubt sown into our society, the rising cost of living can make us feel alone and feeble. But food insecurity is not a political issue, it's a human issue. Working with Feeding America has made me feel like I'm part of the citizen solution, not only doing the work of nourishing bodies, but it is nourishing to my soul - as a volunteer.  I am able to work with Feeding America in New York City and in Los Angeles. Feeding America not only empowers me, but has empowered my children who also volunteer alongside with me, to see the world differently. It gives me hope and inspires me to be of better use in the world through my actions towards others. And it's also a lot of fun!"
