Srini Venkatesan is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of PayPal. In this role, Srini leads the development and implementation of technology across the entire PayPal ecosystem, including analytics and data science, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, employee and infrastructure operations, information security, and product engineering.

Over the past 25 years, Srini has played a pivotal role in building and scaling technology organizations. From early-stage startups to Fortune 1 enterprises, his technology and product leadership has been fundamental to their growth and success. Prior to PayPal, Srini was Executive Vice President of the Walmart U.S. Omni Platforms and Tech organization. Under his leadership, the organization was responsible for building platforms, features, and capabilities to support the retailer globally. Before joining Walmart, he oversaw Yahoo’s display and video ad technology platform. He also successfully led major acquisitions and the integrations into the Yahoo platform.

Before Yahoo, Srini was the CTO of Marketo, where he was responsible for running both product strategy and technology and instrumental in taking the company public. Prior to Marketo, Srini was the CTO at StubHub and led product and technology teams at eBay. During his time at StubHub, he was responsible for creating industry-leading electronic delivery and seat map visualization. He started as a developer and grew his career and passion for technology in the FPGA programming domain at Actel.

Srini has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Bharathiar University.
