With guidance and support from the Chief Operating Officer, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Food Bank in the areas of receiving, tracking, distribution, transportation, and overall inventory control of products; safety and productivity of employees, safety and maintenance of physical plant and equipment.

Job responsibilities

Major Duties and Specific Responsibilities:
Including, but not limited to the following:
• Develop and manage systems and procedures for receiving, distributing, storing, and distributing food in compliance with all local, state, federal, USDA, Feeding America, and regulating body safety and sanitation standards.
• Monitor and maintain a housekeeping and sanitation program in compliance with AIB International compliance regulations and Feeding America standards. Document and file related inspection reports.
• Manage, motivate, and develop staff, including setting expectations, coaching, and monitoring and reviewing performance.
• Ensure deliveries are unloaded and stored promptly and efficiently in accordance with food safety procedures.
• Ensure orders for agencies and programs are filled accurately and in advance of pickup with proper recording of inventory changes.
• Maintain accuracy of inventory. Lead periodic physical inventory counts and adjustments.
• Inspect food and maintain system of stock rotation to insure wholesomeness.
• Develop and manage a maintenance program that will ensure that all facilities, equipment, and vehicles are operational and meet all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Responsible for maintenance of all warehouse equipment and vehicles.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive safety program for all warehouse employees, other persons in the warehouse environment, and drivers.
• Ensure all DOT and FMCSA regulations are met.
• Prepare required reports for Feeding America and internal food bank use.
• Ensure all required inspections, logs, and reports are completed accurately and on time and maintain organized documentation.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Application qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Five years’ experience in warehouse/distribution management; experience in logistics coordination.
