Current CEO is retiring early next year and FTV is actively searching for a successor. Ideally, the new CEO would be in place by January 1, 2027. Resumes will be accepted through 9/30/26, with interviews being done in October and a decision made before the holiday season, allowing ample time for the new CEO to transition from their current employment to FTV.

Job responsibilities

Communicates effectively with Board of Directors (Board).
Develops, implements and ensures appropriate control is exercised for all policies and procedures needed for effective financial and operational management of the organization.
Responsible for the fiscal integrity of FTV, including submission of a proposed annual budget and monthly financial statements to the Board.
Manages the hiring, development and performance of staff.
Ensures all reporting requirements of local, state and federal agencies as well as Feeding America and United Way organizations are met with reliable data and timely submission.
Ensures proper execution and tracking of all grants and contracts.
Directs the development and achievement of financial goals for fundraising and for building supportive long-term relationships with foundations, corporations and individual donors.
Responsible for the purchase, installation and proper maintenance of all property and assets of FTV.
Collaborates with Board and direct staff to ensure the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning and community outreach.
Ensures appropriate utilization, direction, engagement and recognition of volunteers.
Actively participates in and serves in the Feeding Georgia state food bank association, Feeding America and United Way organizations.
Ensures effective communication and maintenance of solid relationships with media, government and private sector leaders to ensure awareness of needs and services available as well as accomplishments of FTV are well known.

Application qualifications

Bachelor's degree required. Ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in management or leadership. Nonprofit experience, advanced degrees and certifications are preferred.

About the organization

FTV serves an 18-county coverage area, including 17 counties in west central and southwest Georgia and one county in Alabama. FTV distributes 13 million meals per year from its three warehouses totaling 110,000 feet. Facilities are fairly new with the headquarters built in 2017, added on to in 2024 and its two satellite warehouses modern as well. FTV has a 3,000 square foot kitchen that provides about 3,000 children's and senior meals daily and is active in Food as Medicine programs. FTV's works with its 300 partner agencies for commodities distribution as well as Mobile Pantry distributions at 41 sites each month. Total staff of 45.
