About the organization

Montana Food Bank Network (MFBN) is the only statewide food bank offering
programs that focus on finding and distributing food to Montanans facing food
insecurity while strengthening public nutrition programs and working to eliminate the root causes of hunger.

Founded in 1984, MFBN is the largest centralized source of donated emergency food in Montana. MFBN has grown from a small organization run by volunteers to an organization with a staff of 24, a network of over 330 statewide partner emergency food agencies, a core of hundreds of volunteers, and a twelve-member Board of Directors dedicated to achieving the mission in strategic ways.
