Lead the annual and multi-year fundraising strategy, including revenue goals, source-by-source plans, donor segmentation, staffing needs, budgets, and implementation calendars.
Serve as the senior fundraising partner to the CEO and Board, preparing donor strategies, briefing materials, meeting follow-up, and cultivation/solicitation plans for top prospects.
Manage and personally advance a portfolio of major, principal, corporate, and foundation donors and prospects through cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and renewal.
Oversee individual giving, major gifts, annual fund, digital fundraising, direct response integration, monthly giving, planned giving exploration, and donor upgrade/retention strategies.
Supervise and coach the development team, setting clear goals, performance expectations, work plans, and accountability rhythms for each role.
Oversee institutional giving strategy, including proposal priorities, corporate/foundation relationships, grant budgets, reporting, compliance, and funder stewardship.
Ensure donor communications, public messaging, website content, social media, case materials, annual reports, and stewardship language are accurate, donor-centered, and aligned with MFN’s mission and brand.
Oversee development operations, CRM practices, data quality, gift processing procedures, acknowledgment standards, donor privacy, revenue reporting, and reconciliation with Finance.
Build Board and leadership fundraising capacity through practical tools, expectations, donor assignments, meeting preparation, and regular reporting.
Represent MFN with donors, Feeding America, community partners, public officials, corporations, foundations, peer organizations, and other stakeholders.
Ensure fundraising practices comply with applicable laws, donor intent, gift acceptance policies, privacy standards, and relevant Feeding America network expectations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and senior-level fundraising experience required; advanced degree or CFRE preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible fundraising experience, including major gifts, institutional giving, annual fund strategy, and team leadership.
Demonstrated success personally cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding significant individual, corporate, and foundation gifts.
Experience managing staff, budgets, vendors, board engagement, donor communications, and CRM/reporting systems.
Excellent writing, public speaking, interpersonal, analytical, and project management skills.
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel within MFN’s service area as needed.
