Description

As the Assistant Director of Infrastructure, you will work to automate the delivery of infrastructure as a Service. This role will troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues that involve the public cloud and on-premises data centers. You will work closely with members of the team to streamline and improve the existing infrastructure while working to buildout the environment to meet future needs. You will facilitate upgrades, maintenance, and all other service activities to ensure availability of the environment.

Job responsibilities

Manage the Infrastructure run operations, build activities and service desk for CFBNJ.
Provide mentoring and development opportunities for staff members.
Conduct periodic 1:1 meetings with staff to review project status, operational metrics, and ensure engagement levels remain high.
Conduct annual reviews with staff members to showcase accomplishments and provide feedback on developmental opportunities.
Troubleshoot complex systems, crossing multiple technologies and business functions.
Contribute to automating all aspects of the infrastructure environment with a key focus on monitoring.
Work with business and technology teams to establish KPIs and SLAs for service delivery.
Possess verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present, persuade and influence peers.
Ensures systems and services are available to meet the business needs.
Adheres to all policies and applicable change control procedures.
Works to follow and build out standards and policies to ensure exceptional customer service while working to enable growth and high performance across all business systems and platforms.

Application qualifications

5-7 years of relevant experience with Windows Workstation, SQL, Networking, Security, Open-Source Technologies, etc.
Knowledge of general networking services (DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Express Route, etc.)
Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure (preferred) or AWS.
Knowledge of cyber-security best practices
Demonstrated skill in critical thinking and problem-solving methods.
Must be capable of traveling to work site in Hillside NJ and Egg Harbor NJ.
Self-directed and capable of setting priorities, planning activities and meeting deadlines.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail is a must.
