SUMMARY
Foodlink is seeking a highly-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized individual to provide support surrounding all aspects of the NYS 1115 Medicaid Waiver billing structure. The Food-Based Healthcare Accounts Coordinator (FBHAC) is responsible for timely, accurate and detailed invoicing, accounts payable (AP) vouchering, interfacing with finance department to rectify monthly statements, interfacing with Medicaid IT platform to monitor/track/rectify payments, and to ensure overall flow of cash in and out of the Food-Based Healthcare (FBH) programs. This role ensures timely and accurate billing of all waiver programs, budgetary forecasting, and maintaining compliance with any funding specifications. This individual will have strong customer service and IT skills, as well as the ability to work with confidentiality, discretion, and attention to detail.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1115 Medicaid Waiver – 100%
Work in collaboration with the Director of Food-Based Healthcare and the Waiver team to invoice for services, ensuring billing accuracy. Upload invoices into the FindHelp portal in a timely manner.
Complete all AP vouchering to pay vendors for FBH services and serve as point-person for finance team/subcontractors for any inquiries surrounding these payments.
Ensure the privacy and security of sensitive personal health information at all times.
Collaborate with Finance and Food-Based Healthcare teams to ensure timely reimbursement for services by FLIPA by monitoring reimbursements on FindHelp platform. Work with FLIPA and/or finance team to rectify any discrepancies monthly/as needed.
Support in the analysis, development and implementation of new processes/tracking mechanisms to improve department efficiencies.
Assist with forecasting, budgeting and financial tracking to ensure compliance and adherence to financial standards.

Preferred candidates will also have:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
2-5 years of relevant work experience, especially in a community-based or non-profit setting preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of grant compliance and tracking preferred but not required.
Must have access to reliable transportation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, required.
Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize multiple tasks, deadlines, requirements, and priorities to complete work in a timely manner and within established deadlines.
Friendly, customer-oriented personality and ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing.
Ability to operate electronics, a photocopier, or other standard office machines, perform routine alphanumeric filing tasks, and perform basic record keeping and tabulation tasks.
Fluency in English required. Knowledge of Spanish is helpful.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
This is a full-time position paid on an hourly basis, $22.28.00 to $24.75/hour (DOE). Foodlink covers 100% of individual health and dental insurance with the ability to acquire family coverage with pretax dollars. In addition to generous paid time off (PTO), we observe 14 paid holidays throughout the year. Opportunity to contribute to a 401k retirement savings plan upon hire. Eligible for generous employer match after 1 year of service.
