Whirlpool Corporation, a Feeding America Leadership Partner, is helping achieve food security for people facing hunger in a sustainable way.
Through the Feel Good Fridge program, Whirlpool Corporation refurbishes fridges and then delivers them to Feeding America network members across the U.S., so that food banks and agency partners have increased capacity to source and store fresh, nutritious food.
Whirlpool Corporation recently donated the 2,000th fridge to the Food Depository, one of more than 40 beneficiaries since the Feel Good Fridge program began in 2021.
“Whirlpool Corporation delivers the fridges and offers maintenance, which are game changers for our partners, many of which are operating with small staffs and limited budgets” said a Food Depository staff member.
Whirlpool Corporation’s goal is to donate a refurbished fridge to every partner food bank by 2036.
