As the largest domestic hunger-relief organization, Feeding America leads the movement to end hunger in the United States. Not only are we helping to provide meals in communities across the country, but we're also making hunger impossible to ignore.
Raising awareness about hunger
Feeding America raises awareness about hunger through national public service announcements (PSA) with the Ad Council, partnerships with high-profile celebrities to serve on our Entertainment Council, and strategic cause-marketing campaigns with leading corporations.
Advocating on behalf of people facing hunger
Feeding America builds a community of advocates, policymakers, and anti-hunger partners to strengthen food assistance programs and advance bold policies to end hunger and address its root causes. We're fighting to protect SNAP, fund Child Nutrition Programs, and end military hunger. Join us by becoming an advocate today.
Conducting in-depth research
Feeding America believes that we can truly find solutions to hunger in America by understanding it. This belief leads us to invest in top-of-the-line research initiatives like the annual Map the Meal Gap report and our quadrennial Hunger in America (HIA) Study. Map the Meal Gap provides food insecurity rates for every county and congressional district in America. HIA is the largest and most statistically valid, comprehensive demographic profile of people seeking food assistance through charity. HIA informs the Feeding America network's strategy decisions, informs policy decisions at a state and federal level, and helps us understand why people use private and nonprofit organizations and government programs for hunger relief.
