State Farm

Demonstrating their commitment to helping build stronger communities, State Farm® continues to be a strong supporter in helping Feeding America advance food security across the U.S.

In 2025, State Farm, a Feeding America Leadership Partner, provided more than $1 million to support Feeding America and the network, investing in a variety of programs—including food sourcing (purchasing and transportation of food), mobile food pantries, and child, family and community-hunger initiatives—helping to ensure that everyone has access to the nutritious food and resources they need to thrive.

Prioritizing Disaster Preparedness and Relief

A key component of State Farm’s collaboration is its commitment to disaster relief, particularly providing pre-funded disaster support, which allows funds to be readily distributed to impacted food banks when a natural disaster strikes.

“During times of disaster, Feeding America’s network ensures that individuals recovering and rebuilding have their basic needs met,” said Rasheed Merritt, State Farm corporate responsibility assistant vice president. “This vital support not only helps communities recuperate but also reassures them that they are not alone, empowering them to better prepare for the future.”

In 2025, State Farm designated $450,000 in disaster relief to Feeding America, and supported partner food banks in impacted areas, including the California wildfires, Missouri and Kentucky following tornados, and Texas in the wake of flooding.

Inspiring Impact During ‘Good Neighbor Month’

Beyond financial support, State Farm associates actively donate their time to hunger-relief efforts through volunteerism. In September 2025—coinciding with both Feeding America’s Hunger Action Month and State Farm’s Good Neighbor Month—over 500 associates volunteered at partner food banks, collectively contributing more than 1,500 hours across 46 cities in 28 states.

“State Farm is committed to being a good neighbor and Feeding America’s extensive network of food banks gives our associates the opportunity to demonstrate this commitment by giving back to the communities where they live and work through volunteering at their local food banks,” Merritt said.

Additionally, during Good Neighbor Month, State Farm sponsors a Good Neighbor Walk | Run, encouraging associates and community members to achieve 100,000 miles. In 2025, nearly 7,400 participants logged more than 320,000 miles—unlocking an additional $100,000 donation from State Farm to help neighbors facing hunger.

Beyond the month of September, State Farm associates are encouraged to volunteer year-round.

An Evolving Partnership

Recognizing that collaboration is critical to making an impact, State Farm—a Feeding America partner since 2007—continually seeks to learn from Feeding America at the national level while also gaining valuable insights from local food banks.

In 2026, State Farm will continue to provide pre-disaster support to support communities impacted by disasters and will encourage associates throughout the U.S. to volunteer at their local food bank to help their neighbors recover from the unexpected.
