Anne L. Alonzo is a respected global leader with a diverse career in the corporate, public and non profit sectors with a background in the food, agribusiness, manufacturing as well as the forest products and the utility sectors with expertise in  corporate responsibility and environmental sustainability, strategy, regulatory, public policy, geopolitical risk, marketing, public affairs and legal matters. 
 
Anne presently serves as an Independent Board Director on the public company boards of GRUMA and Unitil and in an advisory capacity to firms focused on sustainability and and regenerative agriculture impact investing. 

Anne previously served as a C Suite Executive in the role of Senior Vice President of External Affairs and Chief Sustainability Officer at Corteva Agriscience. Throughout her career, Ms. Alonzo has served in various senior leadership roles including as President & CEO of the American Egg Board, Administrator of USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service, the federal agency overseeing commodity grading, market information, organic certification, food procurement and commodity checkoff boards. Anne also served as Vice President of Global Public Policy at Kraft Foods leading all global corporate affairs work in the areas of sustainability, health and wellness and its issue/risk management team and as Chair, World Cocoa Foundation.

Anne’s also held various senior leadership roles at the Amoco Corporation, U.S. EPA, U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Commerce and at the National Foreign Trade Council. Anne also served on the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s Council on Agriculture, Small Business and Labor. Anne lived and worked in Mexico City as U.S. EPA’s first environmental diplomat to a U.S. mission.

Anne has been widely recognized for her community leadership. Anne holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a J.D. from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago Kent College of Law. Anne resides in Washington. D.C.
