On January 20th, 2016 the Senate agriculture committee passed it's Child Nutrition Reauthorization bill that strengthens summer feeding and streamlines federal child nutrition programs. Feeding America is leading the effort to pass a stronger Child Nutrition Reauthorization (CNR) 2016 in Congress and we’ll need your help to make sure that the full Senate and House  passes a strong bill that advances our vision of a hunger-free America. What is Child Nutrition Reauthorization?

Every five years, Congress must reauthorize child nutrition programs. During this process, Congress will debate new funding levels, ways to strengthen and improve the programs, and develop new policies to make sure our nation’s children have access to healthy, nutritious food.
