Real Stories of Hunger

Plymouth, MA
Years ago I became a single mother after 12 years of marriage. I used the local food pantry to get the basics and I've been ever grateful for it since. Milk, bread, eggs, orange juice, butter, pasta, rice, cereal and random fruits and vegetables that the pantry would get now and then were staples that I could create many meals from. I've been tempted to create a pamphlet on how to make simple delicious meals from pantry items over the years. I learned to be pretty inventive and I'm told I make the best French toast ever! I give to my local food pantry to pay it forward and I encourage others who may be having hard times to not be embarrassed. If you're working towards independence a little help is nothing to be ashamed of.
