Description

As a Community Outreach Specialist, you will manage all aspects of the annual regional Check-Out Hunger fundraising campaign including fundraising, marketing, communication, and supervision of volunteer activities. You will also support developing Neighbors Helping Neighbors fundraising strategies and support increasing corporate relations and manage marketing partnerships for this effort. This position is a hybrid position with at least three days in the office per week.

Job responsibilities

Manage marketing communications, branding, press releases, outreach campaigns.
Manage partnerships of participating food banks, retail banners, and corporate sponsors
Enhance online campaign presence for ordering systems, mobile devices, social media, and coupon tie-ins.
Review, edit, and approve materials prepared (for CFBNJ and/or by participating supermarkets and corporate sponsor) including the design of campaign store collateral, ad copy for use in print, radio spots and TV PSA’s, press releases and blast e-mails.
Manage funds and budget, data analysis and reporting, grant applications.
Assist with volunteer recruitment and training.
Manage classy campaign creation and maintain Salesforce data and reporting.
Support other special events and community outreach initiatives as needed.  

Application qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of experience in account or client management, event planning or similar background
There are seasonal times that require 5 days per week for a few weeks at a time (i.e. September/October). 
Must attend main special events to support the team: SOUPER Bowl Saturday, Pack A Thon, Blue Jean Ball, Women Fighting Hunger Luncheon
Exceptional customer service skills, a professional demeanor and positive attitude
Expertise with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
Classy and Salesforce experience preferred 
Ability to manage workload independently and in a timely manner 
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license, registration and insurance are required to support outreach efforts
