Study: Nation's food insecurity problem holding steady | USA Today

This week, Feeding America released, Map the Meal Gap, which examines hunger at the county level. With this being the sixth year of research, the study shows that hunger has remained a constant in the many lives of our friends and neighbors. Also, like the interactive map shows, hunger affects every community - and particularly, hits hard for children.

How Would High-Poverty Schools in Your Community Fare Under the House Child Nutrition Bill? | Center on Budget and Policy Priorities

A Child Nutrition Reauthorization bill recently introduced in Congress would severely restrict schools’ eligibility for community eligibility -- an option within the national school lunch and breakfast programs allowing high-poverty schools to provide meals at no charge to all students. Feeding America opposes this bill as it would hurt Americans already struggling to make ends meet.
