Gayle Carlson

Chief Executive Officer

Gayle has dedicated her career to the nonprofit sector for nearly 30 years; 13 of those in food banking.

In 2013 she joined the Montana Food Bank Network as the Chief Executive Officer.  Prior to this, she was Director of the Great Falls Community Food Bank, YWCA/Mercy Home and Big Brothers Big Sisters, and served as a part-time Adjunct Professor at Great Falls College-MSU.

Gayle holds degrees in Legal Administration and Business Administration, and Nonprofit Leadership and Management, and a Masters in Adult Education and Distance Learning.  She is a graduate of the 2014 class of Leadership Montana and 2006 Class of Leadership Great Falls.  In addition to serving as Chair of Feeding America’s National Advisory Council, she is a Board member of Montana Governor’s Advisory Council on Aging and Missoula Sunrise Rotary.

She is a proud parent of two adult children and two step-children and doting grandma to two grandsons and a step-granddaughter.  She grew up in Michigan but has called Montana home for 38 years.
