Warehouse Manager is responsible for daily operations of the warehouse including inventory management and transportation. Supervises warehouse staff, truck drivers, maintenance staff.

Job responsibilities

Responsible for managing inventory, orders and order pulling

Responsible for shipping and receiving

Responsible for maintaining equipment and trucks

Ensures all deliveries are scheduled and timely

Maintains food safety procedures, AIB Compliance

Manages pest control program

Manages warehouse assistants, truck drivers, maintenance staff and repack staff

Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the building and grounds

Coordinates building maintenance needs

Takes agency orders and assists with agency pickup

Fills in for Retail Pickup when necessary

Supervises volunteers in absence of repack coordinator

Application qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience in facility management, inventory management and transportation.

Food industry experience a plus.

Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Current and valid MN Class A or B driver’s license

Updated health card

Knowledge of general maintenance requirements

Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklift and pallet jack

Knowledge of DOT safety requirements and reports

Ability to work with diverse groups of individuals

High-quality time management and organizational skills

Salary $40-45,000 depending on experience

About the organization

Second Harvest North Central Food Bank, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, serves over 100 hunger relief agencies in Aitkin, Cass, Crow Wing, Itasca, Koochiching, Kanabec and Mille Lacs counties in north central Minnesota. We are located in Grand Rapids and administer several programs that distribute approximately 4.8 million pounds of donated and purchased food and grocery products directly to individuals and through agencies that serve the needy. The Food Bank has 16 employees and hundreds of volunteers. Three delivery trucks pick up and distribute food throughout our seven county service area.
