Description

The Shopping Room Associate is responsible for assisting in the daily food distribution and management of the Agency Shopping Room.

Job responsibilities

Assist with agency distribution needs

Routine stock and cleaning of shopping areas

Sort and evaluate prepared and perishable food products daily for the shopping room.

Receiving perishable, frozen, and donated products

Assists in Agency Warehouse when needed

Assist in weighing agency product

Assist supervisor with daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly duties

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or the Warehouse Manager

Application qualifications

Can work in a cold environment.

Extreme focus on counting accurately.

Excellent communication skills.

Attention to detail.

Ability to organize, plan and prioritize.

Ability to work on multiple tasks and or projects.

Ability to work independently and be a team player.

Ability to work with diverse groups of people.

Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend, identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak, analyze, alphabetize, lift and carry 50 lbs. repetitively, perceive depth, sit for extended periods, use a computer, work with others, work alone, work long or irregular hours and travel by car, van, bus, and airplane.

Successful candidate is required to pass a drug screen and background check.
