Responsible for acquisition, warehousing, and distribution of food in support of the organization's primary mission. Guides staff to ensure effectiveness while adhering to regulatory guidelines, safety of incoming and outgoing food, implementation and creation of processes and to create a safe work environment for all.
*Oversee the facility in accordance with Feeding America and AIB guidelines from reporting to cleanliness to maintenance.
*Provide funding requirements to the Development department for required replacement equipment and repairs using 3 quote process for expenses over $2,500.
*Ensure all elements of operations maintain communications with all departments to support public awareness of operations. Also ensures optimum support to agencies.
*Oversee the inventory process ensuring accuracy and rotation of product and ability to create required reports of such activity.
*Suggest handling fees for product to ensure adequate funds are acquired to meet operational goals.
*Ensure implementation and documentation of operational, pest control, and safety requirements in accordance with Feeding America, state and federal requirements.
*Oversee planning of pickup and delivery operations in collaboration with Transportation Coordinator to make the most cost effective use of resources.
*Responsible for ensuring that the food bank is ready to respond to natural or man-made disasters affecting the Gulf Coast.
*Purchase warehouse supplies.
*Oversee food sorting and boxing operations for efficiency to meet strategic food distribution objectives.
*Collaborate with Agency Relations staff to distribute product to meet government and Feeding America requirements.
*Host volunteer work teams with the Volunteer Coordinator and Reclamation
*Coordinator that will assist in operations.
*Ensure that Primarius (inventory software) online orders are processed in a timely manner.
*Lead short term special projects or standing work groups as required to research, test and/or implement organizational improvements, or introduce new programs into the organization.
*Perform other duties as assigned.
*Manage one subordinate Warehouse Manager and eight or more employees in the Milton Warehouse Operations. Responsible for their overall direction, coordination, and evaluation. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
