Assisting in meeting Snap-Ed program goals by delivering health promotion efforts to target audiences
Engaging in a healthy lifestyle on a budget
Decreasing the risk of nutrition related chronic diseases
Assisting in development, planning, and implementation of nutrition education and related activities for multiple programs
Directing Nutrition Education Class Series
Representing SNAP-Ed/CFBNJ and participating in health fairs for agencies and organizations as requested
Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science/Dietetics.
Bi-lingual language skills (English and Spanish/Creole) is preferred and prior experience providing nutrition education is a plus.
This position will have a varied work schedule that includes nights and weekends to meet the scheduling needs of partnering organizations and schools.
Must have reliable transportation as travel to various sites is required along with the capability to carry bulk materials as necessary-up to 40lbs
Technical aptitude (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is essential for success, along with a positive, can-do attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high degree of self-motivation
