More than 65 million pounds of food flow through our operation every year, feeding hungry families in our surrounding communities. Our small and mighty team of 100+ employees across four locations, collectively serves 30 counties in Colorado and the entire state of Wyoming. We provide more than 145,000 meals each day to our friends and neighbors facing hunger.

The Mobile Pantry Driver is responsible for loading, unloading and delivering food products to mobile pantry sites located in the broader Denver Metro area. This position is responsible for the oversight of the Mobile Pantry site ensuring that all food distributions are in accordance with Feeding America, CDHS/USDA compliance regulations. This role regularly interacts with volunteers, partner agencies and the general public.

Job responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

Loads the truck with outbound food product according to mobile pantry specifications and within FBR policies
Drives local routes to deliver food product to the respective Mobile Pantry site; may deliver to 1-2 distribution sites per day

Unloads and distributes food at the respective Mobile Pantry site working closely with the Site Coordinator and volunteers to set up distribution (unloading product, breaking down cases) and clean up (reloading product, breaking down recycle and trash) at each site

Is responsible for the overall Mobile Pantry site operations and food distribution in accordance with FBR and Feeding America standards

Assists with breaking down pallets, disposing of waste and collection or recyclable materials during and after each distribution

Responsible for maintaining driver logs on Fleetmatics, vehicle inspection and other maintenance schedules according to DOT regulations

May assist with warehouse duties; record keeping, waste, inventory counts and sanitation, equipment, building and grounds

May assist other Programs Department tasks including but not limited to TEFAP & CSFP deliveries

Maintains an organized, clean and sanitized cab, cargo area and food handling equipment

Maintains receipts, invoices and other required paperwork for each site

Maintains food industry standards and certification for proper product handling, storage, and warehouse sanitation

Assist with all necessary record keeping of inventory, surplus, and waste; as well as assisting with inventory physical counts

Assists with other duties as needed.

Application qualifications

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

High School diploma or equivalent required
Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and excellent driving record
Minimum 2 years’ prior experience as Commercial Driver
Prior experience working in a warehouse environment strongly preferred
Forklift experience and certification a plus
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language fluently, and communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level; bilingual a plus
