Marketing and Communication Coordinator

As a Marketing and Communication Coordinator you'll serve as an ambassador of Food Lifeline by coordinating and implementing relevant, creative, and timely messages and marketing collateral in a variety of mediums including written communications, email, website, social media, and print.
You will enable Food Lifeline to fulfill our mission of ending hunger in our community through your creative talent and communication skills. You’ll primarily work 8:30 to 5:00 Monday and Friday, however, your schedule needs to be flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends. Job responsibilities

Coordinate and project-manage process for creative execution of all collateral for the organization. This involves coordinating graphic designers, web developers, print houses, and other vendors as necessary.

Manage and maintain the Food Lifeline communications calendar working with all team members to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner. Develop and facilitate the organization’s monthly Outreach and Editorial meetings.

Coordinate and implement all activities on the Food Lifeline website providing guidance and leadership on the content management system. Troubleshoot all website issues with the assistance of vendors and the Technology department.

Contribute to the development of a social media strategy and personally execute and implement social media activities through the creation of content and postings across all relevant platforms.

Regularly measure and report progress of social media, email, and website communications efforts and analytics.

Write and create a wide range of collateral, including e-newsletters, social media content, web content, donor communications, and the annual impact report.

Field all inbound marketing communications requests and execute personally or assign to team members.

Serve as brand manager for Food Lifeline, collaborating across departments to not only ensure consistent messaging, but also to maintain cohesive style, voice, and design. Proof all major external pieces on behalf of all departments.

Administer all external email and content delivery systems.

Represent Food Lifeline at events and media opportunities. Provide or coordinate photography and video support as needed.

Application qualifications

3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or journalism. 3+ years of social media experience posting on behalf of a company or nonprofit.

Additional information

Work is performed in an office setting with adequate lighting, heating, and ventilation. Position requires patience and tact while managing multiple tasks and interacting with a variety of people. Occasional weekend and evening hours related to special events or seasonal activities.
Position requires extensive keyboarding with repetitive wrist and hand movements and prolonged periods of sitting. Frequent talking and listening including phone conversations. Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. Occasional bending and stooping. Require ability to operative a vehicle to drive.
