Job responsibilities

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop strategy as it relates to the organizations’ IT infrastructure
• Identify organizational needs for upgrades, new systems or configurations
• Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems
• Structure and manage projects and programs to achieve expected business results
• Manage the up-front estimation and planning process for new initiatives
• Provides strong program and project delivery mentorship
• Manage IT staff
• Develop reliable metrics for hardware, software, and storage while ensuring strategic capacity planning
• Identify security vulnerabilities and eliminate them with strategic solutions that increase data safety
• Direct and support the implementation of software and hardware upgrades
• Manage and track IT departments’ annual budget
• Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems
• Monitor the normal operations of technology systems including all servers, workstations, printers, network appliances, backup systems, and installed software.
• Support with locally attached storage devices, monitoring local data backups.
• Manage the regular maintenance and repair on desktop workstations, servers, printers, and other office equipment and peripherals.
• Manage the maintenance for the local area and wide area networks, protocols, and procedures.
• Organize and maintain Server Room and hardware accessories
• Conduct hardware and infrastructure training as needed for Onboarding, to include documentation as a reference guide to all users
• Maintain documented information for all technical procedures, incidents, and events.
• Complete regular internal audits of hardware and software inventory.
• Carry out company technology guidelines, usage policies, standards, and procedures for governance requirements.
• Work steadily to effectively improve the company’s overall technical proficiency.
• Assist in all Governance infrastructure requirements and documentation.
• Maintain Fresh Works an internal service ticket system for hardware maintenance.
• Manage the implementation of hardware projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Minimum 6 years related work experience
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience
• Knowledge of Windows Servers, networking devices such as firewalls, switches, wireless access points, RF technology, and Active Directory
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
• Experience in a technical environment required to include a thorough understanding of Windows-based desktop and network technologies, services, and protocols required

Expected Hours of Work
This role is considered salary, full-time and is not eligible for overtime. Travel within the geographic region may be required.

About the organization

Food Bank of the Rockies’ warehouse is the central distribution program providing food and essentials to more than 600 hunger-relief programs in northern Colorado including metropolitan Denver, the eastern Plains and western Slope as well as the entire state of Wyoming.

These hunger relief programs range from small faith based food pantries to large charities serving hundreds of clients daily. Partner Agencies may choose from a variety of available food and household items.
