The Food Depository is building a data-driven organization, leveraging our various data repositories to better meet our business objectives. The Food Depository is continuing to expand into the Microsoft data ecosystem with tools such as Power BI, Azure, data warehousing and the Microsoft Common data model. 

This role is responsible for leading the reporting and analytic support provided to the business units. This position will use a variety of enterprise-level tools, including Jet Reports, Power BI, and the business application built-in capabilities to enable the business units to leverage their data in support of Food Depository operations. This position will be responsible for knowing, and effectively leveraging, the data architectures of the systems that support our internal and external constituents.  This position will also provide reporting support to the Applications Manager and technology Project Managers with respect to solution implementation and system upgrades.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Creating and modifying reports and dashboards.
Auditing reports and report processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the reports., and associated processes.
Maintain a registry of reports that need to be updated on a routine basis such as the change of fiscal year.  Perform the scheduled report updates.
Developing reporting solutions and improvements to the business units.
Be familiar with the built-in reporting capabilities of the main business applications including Prophix, CERES, Raiser’s Edge.
Support the staff with questions related to leveraging the various reporting tools.
Participate in the development and implementation of training to improve the staff’s proficiency with reporting and analytic tools.

Data management and Hygiene:
Be familiar with the data architectures of the business applications such as CERES, Prophix.
Work with the business units to create and manage reports to support data quality and hygiene activities.
Support the Accounting team with the annual budget and forecast process as it relates to loading the information into the budgeting tool.

Develop and maintain analytic dashboards for the business units.
Maintain familiarity with developments in analytics and analytic tool capabilities.

Provide in-person user support for equipment setup, troubleshooting as required.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Application qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business or IT Systems or demonstrated experience and competence in the required skills and qualifications.
3-5 years of experience in data maintenance, analysis, analytics and reporting, and user support.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Customer service-focused attitude.
Experience with analytic tools such as Jet, Tableau or Power BI.
Attention to detail and strong mathematical skills.
Proficiency in MS Office- Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.
Experience with ERP and accounting software and/or databases, Microsoft Navision/CERES4 and Prophix a plus.
