Job responsibilities

Grant Prospecting and Proposal Preparation
Identify, research, and evaluate potential grant funding opportunities from corporations, foundations, government agencies, local United Way offices, and other grantmaking organizations based on the needs of individual programs and the organization.
Prepare, write, and submit high-quality grant proposal narratives, applications, budgets, and supporting documents.
Interact with all departments to collect information for grant proposals. Track progress of proposals/grants through research, preparation, submission, and award using grant tracking database (GrantHub).
Work with Marketing staff to develop presentations for potential funders.
Meet with grantors to steward their support when appropriate. Prepare and present proposals to funders in person and virtually.

Post-Award Grant Management
Track and enter grant checks and deposits into the donor database (DonorQuest) and prepare appropriate acknowledgement letters and stewardship correspondence for awards.
Prepare summaries of all awarded grants, including timelines, budgets, and proposed outputs and outcomes. Communicate expectations of each grant with relevant departments.
Coordinate with relevant departments to implement program evaluations to measure and communicate impact to grantors.
Monitor grant progress with relevant departments and the Accounting department to ensure compliance of grant requirements.
Prepare and submit all grant reports.
Work with the Accounting department to track and review grant expenditures.

Application qualifications

Education/Experience:
2+ years experience pre-award and post-award grant coordination. Proven track record of receiving multiple five and six-figure grant awards from submitted proposals in a single calendar year. An ideal candidate for this position will have demonstrated the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, donors, and organizations. Demonstrated ability to compose reports and organize information into compelling presentations.

Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional information

The starting salary range for this position is $44,000 - $46,000
