Make a real difference for those in need as our Food Production Supervisor. Assist in supporting multiple production lines with high-volume meal output. Work with staff, students, and volunteers to produce daily allotment of meals in a timely manner. Make sure meals are packed and ready for on time delivery. Strong hands-on cooking skills required.
Assisting with multiple production lines
Directing staff, students, and volunteers in bulk food production
Ensuring proper quality, cooking techniques, quantity, and presentation of the product
Assisting in receiving, storage, production, cooling, and distribution of various inbound products according to ServSafe food safety guidelines.
Assisting all the department chefs to support proper kitchen procedures and food safety guidelines.
Assisting in preforming inventory for multiple locations.
Assisting with staging product for delivery
Completing and maintaining all required paperwork including pull sheets, invoices and other paperwork in a timely fashion.
Strong Leadership skills.
Experience in high-volume meal production.
Strong hands-on cooking skills.
Must be able to monitor 2-15 people at any given time.
Some experience in teaching is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of computer data entry (word and excel) and be able to learn other related software’s pertinent to the operation.
ServSafe® certified, or equivalent, in safe food handling (or, willingness to work towards certification).
Ability to motivate staff, students and volunteers.
Self-directed; able to multi-task and work independently and as part of a team.
Maintain a neat and professional appearance as a model for FSTA students and staff to follow.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills; high energy level; flexibility; discretion.
Demonstrated understanding of diversity and cultural differences.
Must be able to operate a pallet jack or willing to be certified.
High School graduate or equivalent
Must have food related training or worked in a production kitchen or high-volume kitchen
