Description

The Central Texas Food Bank is looking for an Executive Assistant to the President and CEO. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the Executive Assistant provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Executive Assistant also serves as a liaison to the board of directors; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts, and oversees special projects. The Executive Assistant must be creative and enjoy building relationships internally and externally. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a diversity of situations, maintain confidentiality, possess strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

Job responsibilities

As an Executive Assistant, you will:
-Provide and lead support functions to both internal and external parties with a high level of professionalism and in a manner that reflects positively on the organization
-Manage sensitive matters with a high level of confidentiality and discretion especially decisions directly impacting the operations of the company.
-Manage and lead one staff member, Administrative Assistant
-Draft and prepare correspondence for internal announcements, board meetings, and organizations where the President and CEO is involved
-Communicate directly, and on behalf of the President and CEO, with Board members, Donors, Foundation staff, and others, on matters related to the President and CEO's programmatic initiatives
-Manage a variety of special projects for the President and CEO, some of which may have organizational impact
-Successfully complete critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting acknowledgment letters, personal correspondence, and other tasks that facilitate the CEO's ability to effectively lead the company
-Attend and/or represent the President and CEO in designated meetings as required.
-Serve as the President and CEO’s administrative liaison to Central Texas Food Bank’s board of directors including verbal and written communication, preparing board materials, scheduling meetings, and serve as administrator for software for Board Administrator, BoardEffect
-Provide a bridge for smooth communication between the President and CEO and staff, demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust, and support with the Executive Team

Application qualifications

You are a great candidate if you have:
-Bachelor's degree and/or a combination of education and a minimum of 8 years related experience working in an Executive Assistant role supporting the President and CEO.
-3+ years of experience supporting a Board of Directors
-High degree of professionalism in dealing with diverse groups of people, including board members, senior executives, staff, community leaders, donors, and partners.
-Ability to switch gears at a moment’s notice.
-Expert level written, verbal communication skills and proofreading skills
-Ability to work and navigate using all forms of technology, MS Office
-Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
-High level of emotional maturity
-Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
-Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, external partners and donors
-Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
-Ability to demonstrate the highest level of donor/client service and response and are adaptable to various competing demands
