The Donor Database Specialist supports the Donor Relations Manager, Development Manager, and the department as necessary to achieve the fundraising goals of Treasure Coast Food Bank, including focusing specifically on the maintenance of data integrity, gift processing, and customer service. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•Processes daily, an accurate batch of constituent and gifts in DonorPerfect (approx. 35,000-45,000 gifts annually; about 65% of all gifts received at the Food Bank)
•Maintains data entry requirements by following department policies and procedures.
•Completes priority database cleanup projects, as determined by the Donor Relations Manager.
•Updates and maintains donor records, including accurate contact information.
•Support by creating customized reporting, including regular financial reports on donor activities.
•Interacts courteously, professionally, and positively with donors to process gifts, answer questions, resolve issues via phone, email, mail.
•Essential business/ first responder: In instances of a federal, state, or locally declared emergency, Treasure Coast Food Bank is typically considered an essential business service and emergency responder. All employees may be required to perform regular or emergent duties on-site. Employee safety is balanced with business and community necessity. Some positions are more likely to be required on-site than others.
•All other tasks as assigned
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
•High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
•Strong data entry skills are required. Experience with DonorPerfect or similar databases is strongly preferred. A genuine interest in data entry and management is essential
•Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and commitment to excellence in work product required
•Knowledge of A/R processes is a plus
•Detail-oriented person, capable of working under pressure and multi-tasking while working with several projects and consistently meeting deadlines
•Ability to learn new data applications; customer service skills, and ability to work through a problem professionally
•Strong oral and written communication abilities
•Ability to work in a professional team environment
•Efficient time- management, problem-solving, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
