We are a dedicated and diverse team working together to address hunger and its root causes across an 18-county service area in North Carolina.
Support and strengthen our partner agency network to ensure food reaches our region’s residents facing food insecurity by managing & directing the team responsible for establishing and enhancing relationships between Second Harvest Food Bank of NWNC (SHFB) and partner programs, as well as collaboratively developing innovative, data-informed, and sustainable programmatic solutions to food insecurity issues across our region.
• Commitment to the vision, mission and values of Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC.
• College degree or equivalent experience (5-7 years) in social services or human services-related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years non-profit supervisory & management experience required
• ServSafe certified or the ability to achieve that certification within one year of employment
• Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn and master in-house programs
• Excellent organizational, communication, teamwork and relationship building skills; ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and produce results on multiple projects and activities in a fast-paced environment
• Critical thinking skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
• Ability to analyze and interpret demographic, geographic and other relevant data sets as it relates to the Food Bank’s service area and network of partner agencies.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to train or teach others with clarity, flexibility, and organization.
• Must maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision
• Valid North Carolina Driver License and willingness/ability to regularly travel across 18-county service area
