CSFP Class B Driver

The CSFP Driver is responsible for loading, unloading and delivering food products to seniors in the broader Denver Metro area as part of the CSFP program. This position is responsible for the delivery of food product to various client locations and donors (may include residences and senior facilities) in accordance with Feeding America requirements, CSFP compliance/regulations and FBR policies. This role regularly interacts with volunteers, partner agencies and the general public.

Job responsibilities

Essential Functions:
• Loads the truck with outbound food product according to CSFP delivery specifications and within FBR policies
• Drives local routes to deliver food product to the respective CSFP locations
• May be asked to pick up donated product from food drives and donors
• Unloads and distributes food at the respective CSFP location working closely with the site contact and volunteers
• Assists with breaking down pallets, disposing of waste and collection or recyclable materials during and after each distribution
• Responsible for maintaining driver logs on Fleetmatics, vehicle inspection and other maintenance schedules according to DOT regulations
• May assist with warehouse duties; record keeping, waste, inventory counts and sanitation, equipment, building and grounds
• May assist other routes including but not limited to Grocery Rescue and TEFAP deliveries
• Maintains an organized, clean and sanitized cab, cargo area and food handling equipment
• Maintains receipts, invoices and other required paperwork for each site
• Maintains food industry standards and certification for proper product handling, storage, and warehouse sanitation
• Assist with all necessary record keeping of inventory, surplus, and waste; as well as assisting with inventory physical counts
• Assists with other duties as needed.

Work Environment:
• Sitting for long periods, standing and walking intermittently
• Frequently lifts 50-80 pounds on a daily basis
• Uses heavy equipment on a daily basis including forklift, stand up/sit down lift truck, step up pallet jack and automatic pallet jack
• Works in warehouse environment and is frequently outdoors
• Demonstrated ability to bend, twist, kneel, climb, lift, pull, push & perform other warehouse activities
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, crouch or crawl, talk or hear
• Use specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
