The pay range for this role is $61,076 - $68,928

As a Community Philanthropy Developer – Individual Giving, you will work both independently and collaboratively to inspire, engage and appreciate community members who take philanthropic action with the Oregon Food Bank.
Donor Relationship Management (~50% of role)
Successfully develop and engage with a broad portfolio of 100-200 individual donors (giving between $1,000-$10,000) with a focus on cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, and work to deepen relationships and advance OFB’s 10 year vision.
Develop solid understanding of OFB programs and priorities so you can strategically engage donors engage and retain philanthropic partners, make Oregon Food Bank a political home and facilitate donors’ political journey, and foster transformational and regenerative relationship development over time.
Maintain donor records in a detailed and timely fashion in our database to department standards in quantity and quality of information entered in philanthropy systems and technology - Raiser’s Edge NXT.
Leverage technology and social media knowledge to recommend activities for improved fundraising.
Collaborate with other departments, organizations and groups to build partnerships to enhance collaborative fundraising activities and opportunities. Assist in brainstorming and creating new methods to raise funds for OFB.
Project Management (~25% of role)
Lead and track progress of one or more projects from our annual department work plan. For example, our current plan includes building on our successful Monthly Sustainers program, eradicating white supremacy from donor engagement and records management, designing new donor engagement programs, and more.
Facilitate vendors and other team members as needed to accomplish team projects.
Organizational level responsibilities of all exempt employees (~25% of role)
Be an ambassador and a leader for OFB’s vision and mission, a cross-departmental collaborator, and an active contributor to building a movement to end hunger for good.
In consultation and coordination with your supervisor, actively contribute to:

Advisory and consultative groups such as affinity groups, Equity Ambassadors, Equity Think Tank meetings, among others
Proactively develop knowledge and skills that strengthen your capacity to perform your specific role, as well as to contribute to and advance OFB’s goals, vision and mission.

You have a combination of experience and/or demonstrable growth in some combination of the following areas, or others you believe are related:
Donor relationship management, community organizing, or volunteer/client/member services.
Interacting with a diversity of individuals personably and respectfully to OFB standards.
Demonstrated ability to use persuasive communication to engage current and future donors to raise funds for OFB through the development of proposals, grants, and advocacy calls to action.
Ability to generate and personalize phone calls, emails and letters to donors, and respond to donor inquiries in a timely manner for increased communication resulting in greater donor engagement.
Demonstrated experience with planning and leading effective meetings and/or events for donors.
Record of securing individual gifts between $2,500-$10,000.
Proficiency with Google Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and databases.

Multilingual skills at a minimum professional level of proficiency or greater in English and any additional language/s, defined as being able to speak the languages with sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary to participate effectively in most formal and informal conversations on practical and professional topics.

The Fine Print:
Work is performed in a Hybrid onsite/remote office environment with in-person and video conference meetings. Work involves use of a computer screen/and or phone for extended periods inside and outside of Oregon Food Bank.
May work outside of general working hours of 8:00 – 5:00 p.m., such as evenings and weekends.
This role requires travel/valid Oregon/Washington driver’s license and ability to maintain a safe driving record/work outside of normal working hours with occasional travel outside the greater Portland metro area.
Work may require to lift, move and carry objects from 20 to 40 pounds, such as boxes containing office and other supplies. Crouching, bending, kneeling and reaching when filing. Accommodations may be available upon request.
