Job responsibilities

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct site visits for current agency partners at least every 18 months and follow-up visits for closed or suspended partners. Maintain a 0% backlog of unvisited agencies and complete documentation.
Maintain agency accounts to ensure they include updated agreement forms, and appropriate follow-up steps.
Provide one-on–one assistance to agencies in maintaining compliance with established criteria. Specific areas of assistance include proper food handling, food storage, programming, volunteer recruitment, and resource building.
Document site visits within Salesforce and create correction plans for agencies that cause compliance or food safety concerns as necessary.
Act as the point person for GBFB’s USDA contracts regarding agency partners. Complete necessary USDA/TEFAP documentation for the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), including assisting DESE with annual auditing of partner agencies receiving TEFAP and managing the USDA single audit process to ensure agency compliance.
Analyze compliance process and data for continuous improvement. Work with the Assistant Manager of Community Investment to maintain policies, procedures, and training materials.
Oversee compliance monitoring of other team members by tracking the team’s progress. Act as a resource, provide training and feedback to team members who conduct site inspections.
Act as point person and provide excellent customer service for compliance related topics and questions from GBFB team members and partner network.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with agency partners and participate in community meetings, sharing pertinent GBFB updates and resources, gaining an understanding of the agencies’ needs and concerns and bringing that information back to the GBFB team.
Identify community barriers to food access and recommend solutions to both agencies and GBFB. Communicate information learned from agencies back to GBFB.
All other duties as assigned by management, including cross training in other Community Investment roles.
Maintain Food Safety Certification.
Ensure AIB standards are maintained.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to have difficult conversations with agency partners and community organizations and achieve a positive outcome. Ability to manage complaints diplomatically and professionally.
Demonstrated resiliency; strong relationship building and interpersonal skills.
Ability to function in a teaching, training, and mentoring role.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM; for example, Salesforce) preferred.
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through, time management, documentation, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and with little supervision
Sensitivity to issues affecting low-income, food insecure populations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Mandatory Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred or at least 4 years of directly related experience
2-4 years of front-facing customer service experience
Ability to work positively and professionally with people of diverse experiences and backgrounds
ServSafe certification required within 2 months of hire
Ability and willingness to travel daily, up to 75% of the time, within Eastern MA
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle required
Ability to work from a home office
Bi-lingual Spanish skills is a plus
Demonstrates the required digital competencies that result in the effective usage of the full range of digital technologies at GBFB

Physical Demands

Lift or carry up to 25 lbs.
Ability to sit up to three hours at a time
Ability to work independently from outside the office
Some weekend and evening hours, required.
