Job responsibilities

What will you do as Treasure Coast Food Bank’s Chief Development Officer?

At the direction of the President & CEO and in partnership with the Chief Impact Officer, the Chief Development Officer is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies and fundraising plans in support of Treasure Coast Food Bank's mission and goals. The Chief Development Officer creates and leads all elements of philanthropy and fundraising, along with all promotional aspects and avenues for
the organization. This senior management position is directly responsible for achieving all
fundraising and financial objectives and managing the overall performance of the entire
Development team. This includes, but is not limited to, identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual, corporate, and foundation gifts, including major gifts, planned giving, special events, and direct mail.

major gifts and increased annual gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations

• Outstanding written, verbal, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
• Able to grow and lead a collaborative team with confidence and humility
• Success working with a non-profit board of directors and other key stakeholders.
• Problem-solving approach to daily work and oversight of expenditures to include making
recommendations for changes to improve stewardship of resources.
• Experience managing and analyzing donor data to improve fundraising outcomes.
• Full computer proficiency with standard Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint
and Excel and with fundraising and communications software
• Experience with food banks and the non-profit sector favored
• Experience with capital fundraising campaigns favored

Additional information

Review of candidates will begin in September 2022 and continue until the position is filled.

Salary range starts at $85K and is commensurate with the requirements of the position.
Relocation assistance will be considered.
