Business Operations Manager

The Business Operations Manager is a key resource to the Operations leadership team, leading the execution of recurring operational elements. This includes communications, measurement and reporting rhythms, modeling and planning, cross-team coordination for strategic/reactive efforts and best practice sharing.

Job responsibilities

Business Measurement and Rhythms:
•Refine and manage execution of business reporting cadence – monthly/quarterly business reviews, initiative/priority reviews, training compliance, team communications and Board reporting
•Extract operational trends and insights from operational data, balance scorecard targets for optimized organizational performance and continuous improvement, administer follow-through on response actions across team, assist in data governance, and perform ad hoc deep dives on areas of risk, concern or interest
•Ensure budgetary conformance around cost, headcount and meals
•Sets agenda and manages strategy reviews and sessions
Operational Planning:
•Lead KPI selection and target-setting activities
•Serve as primary liaison to Accounting and Finance
•Develop and execute forward-looking operational scenario models
•Enable business decision-making via business intelligence

Cross-Team Coordination:
•Drive and monitor the execution of strategic initiatives, perhaps inclusive of leading large projects directly
•Develop and monitor reactive responses to operational risks and misses
•Enable dynamic budget management, particularly as related to COVID
•Assist with agenda-setting and logistical planning for team events
Escalation Management
•Assess inquiries to determine proper course of action and delegation within Operations Team
Best Practice Sharing
•Leads and drives collaboration and information sharing with other food banks

•Ability to remain in a stationary position at the computer, sitting or standing for prolonged periods.
•Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
•The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
•Moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phone, printers, light traffic).
•This position may become eligible for telecommuting at supervisor’s discretion.

•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance or related field
•MBA strongly preferred
