Job responsibilities

The primary goal of the Annual Giving Manager (AGM) role is to maximize the retention and growth of individual donors through the Houston Food Bank's annual giving appeals, including but not limited to direct mail, online giving, telefunding, sustaining givers, tribute giving and holiday card program. The AGM will plan, implement, execute and analyze all appeals, cultivation and stewardship activities associated with the annual giving program.

Application qualifications


Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts, Business Administration or related field. Minimum of 3 years related fundraising experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Proficiency in computing and Microsoft application. Working knowledge of RE and/or Luminate Online strongly preferred.


Strong customer service skills and willingness to assist others. Able to communicate complex information clearly. Effective leadership skills. Attentive to detail. Public speaking. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Able to coordinate well with other departments and personnel. Working knowledge of RE and/or Luminate Online strongly preferred. Able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
