JOB SUMMARY: Act as a liaison between agency partners and the food bank to ensure the effective, efficient, and equitable distribution of product to those in need. The Agency Relations Coordinator is responsible for agency relations functions as they apply to Feeding America standards and procedures. The Agency Relations Coordinator works with the warehouse staff to create efficiencies in agency shopping, engages new agency partners, and improves services for our partners and the clients they serve in our 18-county service area.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as agency liaison by coordinating and documenting all information and communications with Second Harvest Food Bank.
• Coordinate receipt and maintenance of monthly agency statistics and reports.
• Review and finalize New Member Application Packets.
• Provide POL training, orientation, pick-up training and other trainings as opportunities arise.
• Update agency contracts and update forms on a biannual basis.
• Conduct biannual agency inspections and update data tracker.
• Maintain current agency information and update in the Primarius database as well as hard copy files.
• Process and record agency suspensions and reinstatements in accordance with organizational criteria.
• Communicate with accounting and agencies on past due invoices.
• Plan and coordinate scheduled agency events and training.
• Perform additional duties/projects assigned by Manager.
• Assist with fundraising events as required.
• Attend county meetings as assigned.
• Recruit new partners.
• Will obtain Serve Safe Certification within first 30 days of employment.
• Travel our 18-county area to conduct inspections, site visits and/or trainings.
• Maintain USDA reporting and training.

• Must be detailed oriented, self-motivated with strong follow-through skills.
• Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Must be able to multitask effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Be willing to educate yourself with information to effectively train our partner agencies.
• Be comfortable with public speaking.
• Must be able to work with management, a team and individually.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision using independent judgment for decision-making.
• Must have a clear understanding of and positively represent the mission of Second Harvest Food Bank.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in education, social work, or related field, or equivalent experience
Strong customer service skills
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent math and organizational skills
Strong computer experience and familiarity with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Must have a valid driver’s license.

Additional information

TIME COMMITMENT: The Agency Relations Coordinator position is 40 hours a week. Second Harvest Food Bank’s regular operational hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May occasionally require evening hours.
