Like many of you, I listened carefully as President Obama laid out his goals for 2015 during last night’s State of the Union address. It is an ambitious agenda, but I felt it lacked a key goal: passing a strong child nutrition bill that invests in our nation’s future. We need your help to make sure this is a priority of all of our elected officials in Washington, DC.
Without access to nutritious and regular meals, our children can’t live up to their potential. A hungry America is a weaker America, and we can’t allow the issue of child hunger to be ignored.
While there are a lot of challenges facing our country, we need to make sure our top priority is given the attention it deserves. To solve the issue of child hunger, we’ll need both parties to work together to find solutions that will make us a healthier, stronger nation.
We need more of our elected officials to be talking about this important issue.
