The holiday season is filled with a myriad of festive decorations, nostalgic songs, and celebrations with friends and family. And, one of the best parts of the holiday season is the inherent inspiration to give back to those in need.

Today, 48 million Americans struggle with food insecurity. That’s 1 in 7 people who do not always know where they will find their next meal. Although this busy time of year may leave little time for visiting a local food bank or pantry to lend a hand, there are many ways to join the fight to end hunger – even with a full calendar.

Feeding America works with a number of generous companies to create partnerships that allow everyone to support hunger relief in the United States in ways that may already align with holiday shopping routines.

BoxLunch: Get Some. Give Back. The specialty retailer offers a curated collection of licensed pop culture merchandise. With every $10 spent in-store or online, BoxLunch will help provide a meal for someone struggling with hunger.

Food Lion Feeds: Holidays Without Hunger. Food Lion is collaborating with customers in its more than 1,100 stores from Nov. 18 through Dec. 22, to help solve hunger. While taking care of holiday grocery lists, customers can purchase and donate a specially-marked "Holidays Without Hunger" food box for $5, or make a cash donation at checkout. One hundred percent of cash donations benefit the Feeding America nationwide network of food banks. Holiday food boxes are donated directly to a local hunger-relief food bank or agency.

Kiehl’s Since 1851: Holiday Collection.  The beauty brand is collaborating with designers Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra to help provide meals to families in need. One hundred percent of proceeds from the Crème de Corps Holiday Collection, featuring holiday-themed custom artwork, will benefit the Feeding America network.

Pampered Chef: Round-Up from the Heart®. Continuing its tradition of setting a place at the table for everyone, Pampered Chef is offering its Round-Up from the Heart campaign this holiday season. Customers can select from two Round-Up from the Heart 2015 Soup Bowls. For each bowl purchased, the company will donate $2 to Feeding America. Guests of home Cooking Shows can also “round up” their orders to the nearest dollar or more to benefit their local food bank.

Shari’s Berries: Feeding America Collection. From Dec. 1 through Dec. 17, Shari’s Berries will contribute a portion of proceeds from sales of its Feeding America Collection to Feeding America. The carefully curated collection features an assortment of gourmet-dipped berries along with fresh fruit and a snacks gift basket. The company also delivers weekly fresh strawberry donations to Feeding America food banks across the nation.

Set The TableTM: Personal Online Fundraiser. For those who do not make shopping and gift giving a part of their holiday tradition, there are other ways to support the millions of Americans facing hunger this season. Set The Table is Feeding America’s personalized online fundraising center that has the tools needed to set up a personal fundraising page, accept online donations, email friends and family, connect with them through social media, and track progress in the fight to end hunger. Set The Table helps anyone make an impact toward a hunger-free America.

For some, the holiday season is one of the busiest and most joyous times of year. However, for millions of others, it can stretch already strained resources. There are simple ways to incorporate charitable pieces into holiday gifts and activities, to help make sure that this holiday season is wonderful for everyone.
