Three years ago today, I became an Aunt for the first time. Being an Aunt to my nephew is an awesome thing. I get to give fun presents; I get to have Skype dates with him, even though he is much more interested in seeing my dog than me, and every time I see him I'm shocked by how much he's learned since last time.

These are the words of Ohioans I met this month, "baby boomers" waiting for their turn at a food pantry. Emergency food providers here are reporting ever-increasing household sizes as families, friends, and neighbors combine resources to keep food on the table, the lights on, and a roof over their heads.

After a lifetime of contributing to society, our seniors should not have to choose between filling a prescription or filling their pantry. Unfortunately, many seniors are living on fixed incomes that often force them to make these impossible decisions. But it doesn't have to be this way.
