I know I can't be the only one who, since becoming a Child Hunger Corps member, thinks about food more often. I think about it as something more than just a meal, but rather as a societal glue, a defender of dignity, a mechanism for social justice and a vehicle for memory and culture.
The Cheesecake Factory began working with Feeding America nearly eight years ago. Since then we have contributed more than $3.5 million to Feeding America from our $0.25 donation per slice of featured cheesecake.
Food Lion Feeds donated more than 155 million meals to our Feeding America member food banks and agencies. To accomplish the goal, Food Lion is engaging customers, associates and other community organizations.

January is National Soup Month, and so we wanted to take a moment to recognize what soup means to the Feeding America network and also to recognize the generous donors who help us provide nutritious soup to people in need.
