‘Tis the season for goodwill, gratitude and celebrations filled with milk and cookies—but for kids and families facing hunger in your community, the holidays may be lacking milk and its essential nutrients.
More than 46 million Americans—including 12 million children—are served by Feeding America member food banks each year. Surveys show that milk is one of the most requested, but least donated items at food banks, meaning kids in need may be missing out on nutrients, including the protein that milk supplies.
This season, thanks to the generosity of donors across the country, The Great American Milk Drive—the first industry-wide cause marketing partnership with Feeding America®—will deliver its 1 MILLIONTH GALLON of milk to the Feeding America network of food banks. A significant milestone, and yet, there’s still more to do. We all can make a big difference in the lives of families struggling with hunger this holiday season.
Three Holiday Opportunities To Help Sweeten The Season by Supporting The Great American Milk Drive:
The Great American Milk Drive has created a simple way to help families put milk on the table this holiday season and year round. Since 2014, The Great American Milk Drive has worked to help provide more milk to kids and families that may otherwise go without. We are proud to work hand in hand with Feeding America on this important initiative.
