Miniseries is slated to air during the holiday season to help raise awareness for domestic hunger
The Balancing Act®—a morning show airing on the Lifetime® Channel—is committed to helping the cause to solve hunger in America, and welcomes Feeding America as its partner in a two-part miniseries to help raise awareness about this public issue. The two segments are part of the show's “Family Ties” and “Everyday Gourmet” series.
The miniseries will feature two episodes sponsored by HoneyBaked Ham, “Feeding Our American Family” (airing November 14 and November 21 at 7:00 a.m. (ET/PT)) and “A Holiday to Remember” (airing December 4 and December 11 at 7:00 a.m. (ET/PT) on Lifetime) that will focus on ways we can solve hunger in America, as well as feature “Faces of Hunger” and raise awareness about the charity’s ”Give A Meal™” program.
Feeding America is a nationwide network of 200 food banks and the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity, providing food to more than 46 million people through 60,000 food pantries and meal programs across America. Feeding America also supports programs that improve food security, educates the public about the problem of hunger and advocates for legislation that protects people from going hungry.
“As the holidays approach and we begin to organize our family celebrations, it is important to remember those less fortunate than ourselves and find ways we can make the holidays memorable for others. Millions of America families are hungry. Feeding America and their partners provide food to families in need through their “Give A Meal™” program. We are thrilled to have Feeding America participating on The Balancing Act Holiday Episodes to raise awareness of hunger in America and ways we can all give a helping hand up during the Giving Season,” said Meta Circhansky, Director of Programming.
