November 10, 2010

Guideposts, the non-profit organization dedicated to providing hope, encouragement, and inspiration to millions across America and the world, today announced a partnership with Feeding America, the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity, to support their new Hunger-Free Families initiative which launched November 1st in advance of Thanksgiving 2010.

Throughout the month of November, Guideposts is hosting events to support local Feeding America member food banks including Food Bank for New York City, City Harvest and Greater Chicago Food Depository at leading advertising agencies in New York and Chicago.

Amy Molinero, VP Publisher of Guideposts stated,"Guideposts' largely female audience of over six million Americans is often responsible for family meals, both everyday and at the holidays. Our audience's focus on family and community coupled with their responsiveness to charitable appeals made this an excellent partnership for us. We're proud to be working with Feeding America on this worthwhile endeavor as the fight against hunger is a cause we deeply believe in, especially around the Thanksgiving holiday."

Johanna Vetter, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Feeding America said,"Feeding America sincerely thanks Guideposts for being a media sponsor of Hunger-Free Families. Feeding America leveraged Guideposts audience to support our hunger relief efforts in communities across America. Guideposts has been a key marketing partner to Feeding America through its activation of an audience of over six million in the fight against hunger in America."
