Job Responsibilities

This position plans, directs and manages food bank warehouse operations, Warehouse staff and supervision of ADOC Inmate staff.

• Supervise, train and manage all Warehouse staff positions.
• Under general direction, plans, directs and manages food bank Warehouse operations. Oversees areas of, warehousing; inventory management; facilities maintenance; safety; fleet maintenance; logistics ensuring quality and safety standard adherence and ensuring compliance for D.O.T. driver files and logistics.
• Designated as liaison between the Food Bank and the Arizona Department of Corrections.
• Reviews disciplinary actions regarding Warehouse personnel and makes recommendations.
• Attend and participate in all appropriate meetings as scheduled.
• Prepares and presents long and short-range operational goals
• Coordinates specification development for new equipment;
• Ensure staff, volunteers and inmate labor are continuously working in the best interest of the YCFB.
• Provide regularly scheduled training activities to Ware House staff to enhance the employees’ abilities to bring “value added” skills to the organization.
• Oversight, training and supervision to the transportation operations for the YCFB warehouse.
• Works with the Logistics Coordinator and Warehouse Staff to ensure that program staff are maintaining inventory control, rotation of product, receiving and distribution completed daily, proper tagging, and monthly inventories.
• Oversees and ensures that the Warehouse staff are complying with safety and sanitation guidelines; warehouse cleanliness
• Oversee and work with the Warehouse staff to ensure scheduling and availability of drivers is coordinated for daily, weekly and monthly distributions.
• Provide training opportunities to the Warehouse staff when available.
• Coordinate with Finance for DES and USDA reporting.
• All other duties as assigned by the President/CEO.

Application Qualifications

Language: English preferred, bi-lingual is helpful Education: High School Diploma or GED mandatory. A BA/BS degree, at least five years of progressively responsible experience managing warehouse distribution center that includes three years of supervisory, administrative and organizational experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Licenses: Valid Arizona driver’s license, acceptable and insurable through YCFB. This classification requires the use of organization vehicles on YCFB business; therefore individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely Technical: Proficient with Microsoft Office 2013, Word, Excel and Outlook 365. Finance: Experience in budget planning

Serving southwest Arizona since 1978, beginning with a group of volunteers working from a house to now a staff of 16 and warehousing in 100,000 square feet. We have a passion for taking care of our neighbors, with food and helping them find services for other needs. There are 200,000 that we are providing services to annually. In the past year, we have upgraded our Ceres to 4.5, made significant improvements to our operation infrastructure. Over 90% of the winter vegetables for the U.S. are grown in Yuma, so we depend on local Ag relationships to support our families. Annually we process over 19 million pounds through us into the community, state food banks and out of state.
